Somatochlora borisi Marinov, 2001 new for Turkey

The oldest record so far known from this most recent described new European species is a female collected by Nurten Hacet on 7th July 1992 in Thracia at the Pabuç River near Kiyiköy (41°38'N, 28°05'E; UTM MGRS WGS84: 35 T NG9111809654; UTM numeric WGS84: E=591118 N=4609654). This record has been published in the recent description of female (Boudot, et al., 2004). Somatochlora borisi Burkhard Grebe was so kind to place at our disposal the photo of this unique European dragonfly species. This individue was photographed on 25 May 2001 at the River Diavolorema in NE Greece.
